Benny Leonard was born on April 7, 1896 in New York City, New York. He won the World Lightweight Title on May 28, 1917 from Freddie Welsh. He retired after losing to Jimmy McLarnin on October 7, 1932 with a final record of 180-21-6 with 6 no decisions and 69 KO's. Presented here is a 1926 Charity Drive appeal for Hakoah, an organization that gave physical education to the Jewish youth of Europe.
This charity drive appeal is 3 3/4" x 6" and pictures Benny Leonard. There are small tears on the back and the corners are slightly soft.
