LEONARD, BENNY LARGE FORMAT PHOTOGRAPHS

Benny Leonard was born on April 7, 1896 in New York City, New York. He won the World Lightweight Title on May 28, 1917 from Freddie Welsh. He retired for good after losing to Jimmy McLarnin on October 7, 1932 with a final record of 180-21-6 with 6 no decisions and 69 KO's. Offered here are two original photographs of benny Leonard framed and matted together. The first shows Leonard in San Francisco with his manager Billy Gibson receiving a gold pass from the mayor. The second is a square off photo taken just before his February 21, 1919 fight with Willie Ritchie.
The large format photo with Gibson in San Francisco is 11" x 14". It has a clear, sharp image. No creases or tears. The photo with Ritchie is 7 1/2" x 10." Has a crease near the middle. Sharp image. Matted to 17" x 26."
