HISTORY: Ted "Kid" Lewis was born on October 24, 1894 in London, England. He defeated Jack Britton on August 31, 1915 to win the World Welterweight Title. He also held the British Featherweight, British Welterweight and British Empire Welterweight Titles. He retired after defeating Johnny Basham on December 13, 1929 with a final record of 215-44-24 with 71 KO's. Presented here is an original, real photo postcard of Ted "Kid" Lewis as he looked at the height of his career.
