On June 19, 1936, Joe Louis and Max Schmeling fought in the main event at Yankee Stadium. Louis was undefeated and a rising star in the division. This fight was seen as another stepping stone to a title shot for Louis. In a stunning upset Schmeling would KO Louis in the 12th round. Presented here is an original Working Press Pass which would be used to gain admittance to the arena.
This is an original Press Pass which names the fighters and includes a section, row and seat number. Bold color and print. Includes wrist string. Minor edge wear. Name of Harry Markson written on back, otherwise clean. Not creased or torn. As nice as you will find. Rare. Irregularly shaped to 3" x 3 1/8."
