LOUIS, JOE SIGNED PHOTO (GALENTO FIGHT-1939)

On June 28, 1939 World Heavyweight Champion Joe Louis defended his title against Tony Galento at Yankee Stadium in New York. Galento, a hard punching rough and tumble sort, knocked Louis down early in the fight. Louis recovered and administered a ferious beating on "Two Ton" Tony before stopping him in the fourth round. Presented here is a signed original photo from this fight.
Joe Louis boldly signed this 8" x 10" photo in blue ink. There are small creases along the edges of the photo and there is a larger crease in the upper right side. No rips or tears.
