MARCIANO, ROCKY-JERSEY JOE WALCOTT II PRESS KIT (1953)

On May 15, 1953 at Chicago Stadium heavyweight champion Rocky Marciano defended his title against the man he had taken it from eight months earlier, Jersey Joe Walcott. Walcott was winning the first fight before being stopped late, but in this rematch it was all Marciano who stopped Walcott in the very first round. The fight was originally scheduled for April 10, 1953, but was postponed one month. Offered here is an original press kit for this event.
This is an original press kit picturing both fighters on the cover and consisting of numerous pages with information about the fight, fighters and venue. Clean inside and out. Tight binding.
