HISTORY: On September 8, 1947 at Harringay Arena in London, United Kingdom Freddie Mills and Pol Goffaux fought for the vacant European light heavyweight championship. Mills prevailed and the fight ended when Goffaux could not answer the bell for the 5th round. Goffaux was down five times in the 4th round.
