On Monday, June 30, 1975 Carlos Monzon defended his World Middleweight Title for the first and only time in the United States at New York's Madison Square Garden. His opponent was Tony Licata of New Orleans. Monzon stopped Licata in the 10th round. Also on this show was the closed circuit viewing of the Ali-Bugner II fight from Malaysia which was won by Ali. Victor Galindez also fighting on this show banged out a 15 round decision over Jorge Ahumada in defense of his World Light Heavyweight Title. Presented here is the official program from Madison Square Garden for these events.
This official program consists of 64 pages and is in good condition. The scorecard insert is clean and unscored. The program is clean inside and out. Does have a cover crease and some very light surface wear. Overall a very fine example of a very scarce Monzon championship program. 8 1/2" x 11".
