MOORE, ARCHIE SIGNED LETTER

HISTORY: Archie Moore was born on December 13, 1913 in Benoit, Mississippi. He won the World Light Heavyweight Title from Joey Maxim on December 17, 1952. He retired after an exhibition match with Nap Mitchell on August 27, 1965 with a final record of 183-22-9 with 1 no contest and 129 KO's. Presented here is a letter from The Athletic Commission of California to Moore and Moore's hand written and signed response.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is a hand written and signed response to a letter from the California State Athletic Commission.The letter measures 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches.The letter has soft corners and 2 punch holes at the top.There is some dicolorization from age across the front of the letter.Moore's response is at the bottom and written and signed in blue ink and is clean.The letter is dated 1963.
