On January 22, 1932 at Madison Square Garden in New York lightweights Billy Petrolle of North Dakota and Eddie Ran of Poland squared off in the main event. Petrolle dominated the fight and knocked Ran out in the 6th round. On the undercard welterweight Dave Shade won a ten round decision over Joey LaGrey.
