HISTORY: On June 21, 1997 at the War Memorial in Syracuse, New York Olympic gold medalist David Reid fought his third professional fight against John Long in a junior middleweight matchup. Reid stopped Long in the 2nd round. Also on the show lightweight Tracey Harris Patterson knocked out Ricardo Vasquez in the 3rd round. Also on this show there was a tribute to former world champion and local hero Carmen Basilio.
