Professor Joe Robinson a/k/a Joe White was a lightweight contender from the Boston area who fought from 1898 until 1904. In 1900 he began fighting in England where he finished his career. He fought a number of contenders and future champions including Jack "Twin" Sullivan, Eddie Connolly and Tom Broderick.
