ROBINSON, SUGAR RAY-GENE FULLMER I WIRE PHOTO (1957)

On January 2, 1957 World Middleweight Champion Sugar Ray Robinson defended his title at Madison Square Garden in New York. The younger, and strong and rugged Fullmer proved too much for Sugar Ray and won a 15 round decision and the title. Presented here is an antique wire photo from this bout. (BE)
This antique wire photo from the first Robinson-Fullmer bout is 7" x 9." The corners are slightly soft and there is a crease in the center of the bottom edge. Clean with no rips or tears.
