ROBINSON, SUGAR RAY-GENE FULLMER I WIRE PHOTO (1957)

On January 2, 1957 World Middleweight Champion Sugar Ray Robinson defended his title at Madison Square Garden in New York. The younger, and strong and rugged Fullmer proved too much for Sugar Ray and won a 15 round decision and the title. Presented here is an antique photo from this bout. (BE)
This antique photo of the Robinson-Fullmer I bout is 7" x 9 1/4." The corners are slightly soft and there are some light markings along the edges of the photo. No rips or tears.
