ROBINSON, SUGAR RAY-GENE FULLMER WIRE PHOTO (1957)

On January 2, 1957 World Middleweight Champion Sugar Ray Robinson defended his title at Madison Square Garden in New York. The younger, and strong and rugged Fullmer proved too much for Sugar Ray and won a 15 round decision and the title. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting a bleeding, and defeated Robinson.
