Presented here is a 1941 oversized original photograph of Joe Louis and Sugar Ray Robinson.
This is an original 16" x 20" black and white photograph of World Heavyweight Champion Joe Louis and future champion Sugar Ray Robinson. This was done by Mitchell Studios of Cleveland in 1941 and has their raised stamp in the lower right corner. The two are shown holding a trophy awarded by ouis' horseracing entity Springboro Farm. This portrait indicates the importance of Robinson who at this time was a one year professional. There is some creasing in the lower left area and some edge wear around the perimeter. A magnificent image which is crisp and sharp.
