SADDLER, SANDY-FLASH ELORDE LARGE FORMAT WIRE PHOTO (1956-9TH ROUND)

On January 18, 1956 at the Cow Palace in San Francisco featherweight champion Sandy Saddler defended his title against the great Filipino fighter Gabriel "Flash" Elorde. This was a very close fight when it was stopped in the 13th round and awarded to the champion Saddler because of a very deep cut suffered by Elorde. Offered here is an original, large format wire photo depicting the two in 9th round action.
