On June 21, 1932 at the Madison Square Garden Bowl in Long Island City, New York Max Schmeling defended his title against the man he originally won it from in 1930, Jack Sharkey. Sharkey won a highly controversial 15 round split decision and the title. Future champion Jimmy Braddock fought on the undercard. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting 10th round action.
