Billy Soose was born on August 2, 1915 in Farrell, Pennsylvania. He won the World Middleweight Title from Ken Overlin on May 9, 1941. He retired after losing to Jimmy Bivins on January 13, 1942 with a record of 34-6-1 with 13 KO's. Presented here is an original three page letter of Billy Soose which he has signed. Letter dated April 23, 1981 in which Soose addresses a variety of personal issues, but also talks about deaths of fighters of today, their lack of training and mentioning Hearns as the best fighter of the day along with Duran and Leonard.
This is a 3 page, typed letter on Billy Soose's letterhead. Boldly signed on third page in ink, "Billy Soose." Includes original folds. No tears. Clean front and back. 8 1/4" x 11."
