On October 29, 1924 at the 113th Regiment Armory in Newark, New Jersey world welterweight champion Mickey Walker fought Jock Malone in a non title affair. Walker won a 12 round decision. The popular verdict was a win for Walker from the World Almanac as well as New York Times which said the win was decisive. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting the two fighters weighing in on the day of the fight.
