On December 4, 1919 at Holborn Stadium in London European Haevyweight Champion Georges Crapentier of France defended his title against Joe Beckett. Carpentier made short work of it stopping Beckett in the very first round. Offered here is an original wire photo which depicts Georges Carpentier and his sparring partner Tovey training for Carpentier's fight with Beckett.
