On August 28, 1939 at Forbes Field In Pittsburgh a boxing show featuring four all time greats was held. Fred Apostoli won a majority ten round decision over Glen Lee. Sammy Angott in the best fight of the evening won an action packed 10 round decision over Billy Marquart. Charley Burley won a 10 round decision over Jimmy Leto. Ken Overlin won a one sided ten round decision over Al Wardlow knocking him down twice in the process. Presented here is a rare on site poster from this event.
This poster pictures all fighters on the show. It is paper measuring 22" x 28." Professionally linen backed. The color remains bold and the images are crisp. Extremely rare.
