HISTORY: Rube Smith was an American lightweight boxer, born in 1884. He turned professional in 1902 and fought until 1915 amassing a record of 21-11-14. In his career he fought many of the outstanding boxers in his division including Mike "Twin" Sullivan, Kid McPartland, Jimmy Gardner, Harry Lewis, and Frank Mantell. Offered here is a promotional photo of Rube Smith which he has signed and inscribed on the reverse.
