Jess Willard, The Pottawatomie Giant, defeated Jack Johnson in Havana, Cuba on April 5, 1915 with a controversial KO in the 26th round to win the Heavyweight Title. He defended the title once before losing it to Jack Dempsey on July 4, 19191 in Toledo, Ohio. Presented here is a hand signed and inscribed photo of Jess Willard.
This hand signed photo measures 7 1/2 inches by 9 1/2 inches.The photo has just minor edge and corner wear, otherwise clean.The signature is in ink and perfect although has been signed in the darker part of his suit. Still very clean and legible.The signature is in ink and a fine example.The image is vivid. Signed "To My Friend,Tommy Taylor"
