HISTORY: On July 2, 1921 at Boyles Thirty Acres in Jersey City, New Jersey heavyweight champion Jack Dempsey defended his title against light heavyweight champion Georges Carpentier of France. In the million dollar gate in boxing history the bigger Dempsey prevailed by stopping Carpentier in the 4th round.
