ALI, MUHAMMAD-WILT CHAMBERLAIN ON SITE POSTER (1971)

On October 4, 1971 at the Houston Astrodome in Houston, Texas former world heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali was scheduled to fight basketball star, 7'1", 275 lb. Wilt Chamberlain. There was a lot of hype for this match including studio interviews with Howard Cosell, but in the end the fight was cancelled. What remains is this origina on site poster for the event.
This is an original, cardboard, on site poster which pictures both Ali and Chamberlain. Bold color and print. Bold, clear images. Mild crease in upper left corner. No tack holes. Clean front and back. Minor edge and corner wear. 20" x 24." Scarce, first we have offered in years.
