HISTORY: Carmen Basilio was born on April 2, 1927 in Canastota, New York. He won the World Welterweight Title on June 10, 1955 from Tony DeMarco. He won the World Middleweight Title from Ray Robinson on September 23, 1957. He retired after losing to Paul Pender on April 22, 1961 with a final record of 56-16-7 with 27 KO's. Presented here is the original management contract between Carmen Basilio and his manager John DeJohn signed on May 26, 1952. This was a two year contract spliting the income at 2/3 for Basilio and 1/3 for DeJohn. Boldly signed by both Carmen Basilio and John DeJohn and witnessed by a notary.
