James J. Braddock, The Cinderella Man, was born on February 11, 1909 in Omaha, Nebraska. He defeated Max Baer at Long Island City, NY on June 13, 1935 to win the World Heavyweight Title. He was an extreme underdog and earned his nickname with the win. He lost the title to Joe Louis in 1937. Presented here an original pinback button with ribbon of Braddock.
This pinback measures 1 1/4 inches in diameter.The pinback has some cracking to the clear cover on the front.(Clear coat or celloid).The back has some surface rust and shows its age. The ribbon is tattered.The image is clean,The pinback states"Good Luck Jimmy , Braddock Boosters".
