Joe Louis fought Jim Braddock on June 22, 1937 in Chicago for the Heavyweight Championship. Louis, down early in the fight rallied and knocked Braddock out in the 8th round to win the World Heavyweight Title. Offered here is an original charcoal lithograph of Joe Louis standing over a fallen Jimmy Braddock done by American artist Joseph Webster Golinken (1896-1977) and signed in pencil by him.
This is an original charcoal lithograph. Bold and clear. Bold pencil print by Golinken in lower right corner. Includes the original matting. Not creased or torn. Clean front and back. 13" x 16" excluding matting.
