On June 29, 1933 at the Madison Square Garden Bowl in Long Island City, New York world heavyweight champion Jack Sharkey defended his title against the Amblin Alp, Primo Carnera. Carnera upset Sharkey knocking him out in the 6th round to win the title. Offered here is an original wire photo which depicts Sharkey down in the 6th round seconds before the end.
