Jimmy Carter was born on December 15, 1923 in Aiken, South Carolina. He won the World Lightweight Title from Ike Williams on May 25, 1951. He retired after losing to Luis Garduno on April 1, 1960 with a final record of 81-30-9 with 31 KO's.
