On May 25, 1972 Heavyweight Champion Joe Frazier defended his title against local challenger Ron Stander at the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska. Stander was completely outclassed and was stopped in five rounds. Presented here is original cartton art for the Frazier-Stander fight done by cartoonist Phil Bissell. Phil Bissell is a noted cartoonist who worked on many sports in a career highlighted by his work for the Boston Globe which included drawing the original New England Patriot Minuteman which became their logo.
