Arthur Chambers was a lightweight boxer who fought from 1868-79. He was born December 3, 1847 at Salford in Lancashire, United Kingdom. His first fight was a knockout over Tom Scattergood on September 29, 1868 in the 40th round. On September 4, 1872 he won by disqualification in the 26th round for the American Lightweight Title over Billy Edwards. He retired in 1879 with a final record of 8-0-1.
