In 1970 as his enforced retirement for refusing military induction was coming to an end Muhammad Ali was applying for boxing licenses in a number of states. One state was Michigan where a proposed fight with Joe Frazier was being considered. Offered here is an original Application for boxing license signed and dated by Muhammad Ali on June 23, 1970. Historic artifact from Ali's reemergence in 1970.
