HISTORY: Alexis Arguello was born on April 19, 1952 in Managua, Nicaragua. He won the WBA Featherweight Title on November 23, 1974 in a bout with Ruben Olivares. On January 28, 1978 he won the WBC Super Featherweight Title from Alfredo Escalera. He retired after a February 9, 1986 bout with Bill Costello with a final record of 80-6 with 65 KO's. Alexis Arguello passed away suddenly on July 1, 2009. Offered here is a boxing glove signed by Alexis Arguello which he dated 6/5/92 and added the inscription "Champ." Signed at the International Boxing Hall Of Fame in Canastota, New York during their induction weekend.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, red leather, left hand, regulation size boxing glove with a gold Everlast label at the wrist. Boldly signed across the backhand in black sharpie, "Alexis A 6/5/92 Champ." The glove has no noticeable flaws. 13 1/2" long.
