HISTORY: On September 17, 2005 at the America West Arena in Phoenix, Arizona Julio Cesar Chavez fought Grover Wiley (a replacement for Craig Weber). Wiley stopped Chavez in the 5th round. Chavez started the fight well but by the fifth round Wiley was coming on strongly. Chavez retired at the end of round five, claiming a broken right hand. Without seeking a rematch (as with previous opponents) Chavez retired, this being his last fight.
