HISTORY: On February 25, 1964 in Miami Beach young and brash Cassius Clay, the former Olympic Gold Medalist fought heavyweight champion Sonny Liston with the title on the line. Liston was a prohibitive favorite, but the younger and far quicker Clay outboxed him and ultimately stopped Liston in the 7th round in one of the biggest upsets in boxing history. Offered here is an original wire photo which depicts Clay landing a left jab to the head of Liston.
