Pete Galiano was a welterweight contender born in Baltimore on January 1, 1917. He fought from 1933 to 1949 amassing a record of 40-90-17. He fought many of the leading contenders of the era including: Lenny Mancini, Bernie Friedkin, Maxie Berger, Bobby Ruffin, A "Bummy" Davis, Allie Stolz , Jackie "Kid" Berg and Tony Marteliano.
