HISTORY: Thomas Hearns, known as the "Hitman," began his professional career in 1977. In less than three years he won the World Welterweight Title demolishing Pipino Cuevas in 2 rounds on August 2, 1980. Fought two memorable fights with Sugar Ray Leonard and is largely remembered for his explosive battle with Marvin Hagler. Hearns also demolished legend Roberto Duran. One of the biggest hitters in the game. Offered here is a signed boxing glove by Thomas Hearns. From collection of NYPD Police Captain who had this signed in person at the Friars Club in New York on June 3, 2010.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This is a regulation right hand, red leather boxing glove with a white Everlast label at the wrist. Boldly signed on the backhand in black sharpie, "Thomas Hitman Hearns." Clean with no noticeable flaws. 12 1/2 inches long.
