LAMOTTA, JAKE-TOMMY YAROSZ OFFICIAL PROGRAM (1948)

On December 3, 1948 at Madison Square Garden in New York future world middleweight champion Jake LaMotta fought tough Tommy Yarosz in the main event. LaMotta prevailed winning a unanimous ten round decision. "Apparently influenced more by his threatening gestures and sporadic rallies than by the steady point-collecting jabs, hooks, uppercuts and straight rights of his opponent, the officials voted a unanimous decision to Jake LaMotta..over Tommy Yarosz."
