Benny Leonard was born on April 7, 1896 in New York City, New York. He won the World Lightweight Title on May 28, 1917 from Freddie Welsh. He retired after losing to Jimmy McLarnin on October 7, 1932 with a final record of 180-21-6 with 6 no decisions and 69 KO's. Presented here is original cartoon art regarding Benny Leonard done by noted cartoonist Robert Edgren.
