LEONARD, BENNY-JOHNNY KILBANE FULL TICKET (1917)

ON JUly 25, 1917 at Shibe Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania lightweight stars Benny Leonard and Johnny Kilbane met in the featured match. Leonard knocked Kilbane out in the 3rd round. The result reported in Philadelphia newspapers (Philadelphia Record, Philadelphia Public Ledger. According to Boxing, August 22, 1917, page 212, Kilbane took a bad licking and his corner threw in the towel when he was floored at the end of the third round.
