LISTON, SONNY-HOWARD KING WIRE PHOTO (1961-2ND ROUND)

On March 8, 1961 heavyweight contenders Sonny Liston and Howard King would fight a scheduled ten round bout at the Miami Beach Auditorium. These two had met once earlier with Liston coming out on top stopping King in 8 rounds the year prior to this fight. Liston was now a star in the division and he showed it here stopping King in round three. Presented here is a wire photo depicting 2nd round action with Liston knocking King down.
