On August 18, 1936 at Yankee Stadium rising heavyweight star Joe Louis met former world heavyweight champion Jack Sharkey in the main event. Louis dominated from the opening bell and knocked Sharkey out in the 3rd round. Offered here is an original wire photo which depicts Joe Louis getting a hair cut on the day before the Sharkey fight.
