MOORE, ARCHIE-ALEJANDRO LAVORANTE ON SITE POSTER (1962)

On March 30, 1962 at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles former light heavyweight champion Archie Moore fought rising heavyweight star Alejandro Lavorante in the main event. Moore, now fighting as a heavyweight and still defying "Father Time" stopped Lavorante in the 10th round. Referee stopped the fight. Lavorante was carried from the ring on a stretcher. Offered here is a rare, original, on site poster from this event.
This original, on site poster is cardboard picturing both fighters. Tape remnants on the perimeter from mounting. Has two creases. Bold color and print. Bold, clear images. Minor edge and corner wear. 22" x 28."
