On June 7, 1954 at St. Nicholas Arena in New York light heavyweight champion Archie Moore fough Bert Whitehurst in a non-title affair. Moore knocked Whitehurst out in the 6th round. Offered here is an original wire photo of the two fighters clowning around at the pre fight physical.
