MOORE, ARCHIE-YVON DURELLE I WIRE PHOTO (1958)

On December 10, 1958 at the Forum in Montreal, Canada world light heavyweight champion Archie Moore defended his title against local favorite Yvon Durelle. In one of the most memorable and exciting fights in boxing history Moore rallied to knock out Durelle in the 11th round in defense of his title. Moore was knocked down three times in first, and once in fourth. Moore got up and put Durelle down four times for win. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting action during the fight.
