Tut Ryan, born James Ryan on February 3, 1868 was an Australian heavyweight who fought from 1889 until 1901. He amassed a record of 25-9-14 and fought some of the leaders contenders of the day including: Gus Ruhlin, Joe Goddard, Dan Creedon, Bill Doherty and Mick Dooley. Tut Ryan passed away on August 20, 1944. Offered here is an original, first generation photograph of Tut Ryan as he looked during his career wearing period dress.
