HISTORY: On March 1, 1973 at the Civic Auditorium in Stockton, California the only American winner of a boxing gold medal at the 1972 Olympics, Sugar Ray Seales, made his third professional fight. The opponent was Sugar Montgomery and the two fought at the junior welterweight limit. Seales stopped Montgomery in the 6th round.
