HISTORY: On October 7, 2000 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas Johnny Tapia and Paulie Ayala fought for the second time. They fought at a catchweight of 124 lbs. Ayala won a 12 round unanimous decision. Mayhem ensued after the fight as the Tapia camp was incensed at the decision. An angry Tapia was ushered from the ring by security. Tapia's brother-in-law punched Todd DuBoef (promoter Bob Arum's stepson) of Top Rank in the mouth. He was led away in handcuffs.
